about-meI consider myself fortunate to have learned about so many kinds of organizations and businesses and ways to make money in this big beautiful world in which we live . . . and work.

I’ve designed and written about literally everything from soup to nuts. From women’s fashion to industrial machinery. And companies from AlphaGraphics and Bose® to Zig Ziglar. I’ve designed billboards and semi trucks, spice labels, store signage, and fundraising brochures. Along the way I’ve had fun, fun, FUN!

So how does that help you, if you don’t sell soup or nuts or women’s clothing or industrial machinery?

Experience. And exposure to what works, and what doesn’t. I’m an idea communicator and creative strategist with years of experience in improving what readers, customers, or clients see and read. My mind is often in the clouds, but my feet are always firmly grounded. I’m creative, practical, imaginative, realistic — and experienced.

I started as a creative director in a prominent direct marketing agency. Then I launched my own design & marketing firm. Eventually I decided I needed more balance in my life, and sold my company to become a consultant: a visual communications advisor for design, copy & content, and strategy.

One of my long-time professional collaborators — a respected direct marketing consultant — told me he appreciates my balance of creativity and logic (and the fact that I’m not a creative “diva”). Clients and colleagues will tell you I have a good sense of humor and that I’m easy to work with.

PERSONAL STUFF
I grew up in Illinois, spent most of my adult life in Wisconsin, then moved to Florida, which is now ‘home base.’ I’m an avid reader, hiker, musician, volunteer, and compassionate human.

I flat-out love what I do for a living, and I truly enjoy working with all the people I meet through professional projects. I hope I get to work with YOU!
